I like it. I DVR'd it one day this summer and accidentally got my toddler addicted to it. (Funny, since addiction is a theme of Rent.) It is not a movie for children or babies, but I let him watch it because he loves it so much and really loves the music. I have learned a lot about Rent in the past few months. For a while, we watched it multiple times/day. I am not really sick of it, which I find amazing. Anyone else?

Oh, I forgot to say that although I didn't love it completely the first time, it really has grown on me more and more. I still notice something new with every time I watch it, which has been a LOT! Seriously, probably WELL over 100 times. This may be because the cast was so familiar with the material they were able to put a lot of extra into their performances. Also, the writer is an Aquarius, born 2 days before me (but a number of years earlier)!

Mmm I love the movie, and the actual broadway version. I watch it quite often and own the soundtrack.

Nice. I was so surprised to learn that the movie cast is almost the same cast as the original Broadway. No wonder they had such good chemistry!

Yes, it came near where I live but I didn't get to see it...That was sad. Once I did get an entire room at my school to sing la vie boheme...Don't think I spelled that correctly.

I say it's worth checking out. I got it as a last chance option on my DVR. Best $1.99 I've ever spent!!

I LOVE IT!! I love musicals, and "Rent"'s one of my favourite. When I watched it for the first time, since I heard the first song "Rent" I knew I was going to love it. :) My favourite scene is probably "Tango: Maureen". *-*

Heh heh...I love how everyone is posting Rent pictures on here!!! Tango Maureen is great. My little shrimp walks around saying, "Pooky". I really like the song with Maureen and Joann. It is escaping me at the moment. Probably called "Take me" or something. Sometimes I turn it off after that song because that's where it starts to get sad. :) Of course, we have all seen the whole thing a lot, but sometimes I'm not up for the sad parts.

I love Rent. I'm probably addicted to La Vie Boheme.

Ha ha. My kid is definitely addicted to that. He calls it "Bo bo bo." When we first watched Rent, I thought he was just playing and I was watching it. Then, a couple hours later, he came up to me and said "Minute Minute". And I said, "Did you just say Minute?" He wasn't talking much yet and he'd never said "minute" before. And then I said, "You want to hear that song?" And he said yes. For a while, he would just watch the first song all the time. Then I got lazy and started to let the movie run and he got into the whole thing.
