the purpose of myLot is to bring people together, and that is possible only if we generate some good topics that would interest of a wider range of people. but global does not mean topics like.."which month were you born in" or "what color do you like themost".....i think it's pathetic and shows lack of intelligence on part of the dicussion starters.

Well, Mylot used to be a website solely for discussions and I do remember quite a lot of turmoil about what is a good discussion and what is a guideline violation. But that was over 2 years ago with the old version. To be honest, I do not yet really understand what the new Mylot is expecting from us. Creating content? Creating discussions? Mhh... I guess we will see.

The "new" MyLot is expecting to be just like the old one - only better, more efficient, fairer and probably with more communication from the owners.
The story behind the 'revival' of the site is that it had been losing money for some time before it was taken over two years ago - in fact, they had apparently been paying the members in preference to the staff for some months. Now the original owners (the people who had the vision to start the site 9 years ago) have regained the site and intend it to be as successful and as lively a place as it was originally.
