Back in the 70's, yours truly went to a number of Star Trek conventions. I bought myself a tribble, and got autographs from everybody except Shatner and Nimoy (I saw Nimoy from a distance at one of them), and had a lot of fun. I watched all the episodes, and the animated series, the movies, and all the series that came after. Then one of Dearra's online friends got her to start watching the original series on NetFlix. She is having a great laugh at how cheesy the effects all were. We watched "The Corbomite Maneuver", and the girls were laughing their butts off at the puppet. So in a weird way, Star Trek has come full circle for this family.

Oh, let's wait a few years. My daughter will grow up with all of Star Trek, not only the original series and Doctor Who. Poor kid, she will have no choice *lol*

Hee hee - that is how we felt when the kids watched Star Wars! And recently I thought it was cool how my kids watched The Little Rascals (the black and white original episodes) on youtube. I used to love it - and I wasn't sure if my kids would "get it" - but they were laughing hysterically!

Mine got into Star Wars way before Star Trek, and they actually got ME into Dr. Who.
