I have had a love affair with books since I was a child. I remember my mother reading to me at a very early age. Sir Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes and Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer are ones I recall. Oh, and a old version of English fairy tales I can't quite rermember the title. And my grandmother read to me from a primer she had had in school. What memories I have of those tales too. A fantasy of mine is to have a huge library with books everywhere. I have never read from an ebook and I am wondering if I would enjoy it. My eyesight is getting such that maybe that would be the way to go. I don't read much anymore because my eyesight is fussy due to allergies. But I would think that the back light like on a Kindle would help. Have you read using one and do you like them?

I haven't ever tried one.. Being able to make the font bigger would be useful! I love old books.. I'm even a little bit of a book hoarder.. And every so often have to go through them and take some back to the thrift stores (where I likely got them). I have some old child encyclopedias and a few other old books, those are the best! The first book I remember reading was Robinson CrusoeYep I love books too!

We have a few second hand book stores here where you can bring in two and get one. I ike those cause I can get rid of some that way too. I love old books. I used to have a of very old child encyclopedias. The illustrations were so cool. I used to be a book hoarder too. I have gotten rid of so many I wish I had now.

@flowerchilde I'm a book hoarder too. I often see interesting books on sale and I can't resist buying them. The problem is that I've now got so many books that I'll never find time to read them all. Especially not if I keep spending so much time on the internet

I bought a Kindle recently because there are lots of free books available for it on Amazon, but I've hardly used it. I prefer "real" books.

I doubt I'd use one very often for the same reason. Unless it is a book I really want to check out.

I have sneaked a peak at the endings sometimes too and then hated myself for it later. I am going to have to try out a Kindle at some point.
