You can go to the link http://www.mylot.com/comment/2836629/16773626/24515310 to dig up some 'real facts' on it, but this ... starts with my main theory: that myLot's revenue-sharing algorithm is not set-in-stone and changes according to many factors (possibly 'how many responses each thread gets,' 'how many words each post has,' 'how well the attached ads match our discussion-topics,' etc.) or -according to the whims of the myLot-administrators.
(That last factor makes it IMPOSSIBLE to 'game the system'

If like you think the rules are not exactly the same for every member and are changed often, it makes vain any global effort, and the individual chances of success on a site like myLot are very little, so the algorithm is secure, which is a very good thing for the future of this site

Good thing "success on this site" is not accurately measured in 'how much money myLot gives us.'
