not enough hours in a day anymore..

remember when you were a kid,and the days (particularily in summer or near holidays) seemed to go at a snail's pace (ok..kids don't have much to do)..and when you got to be an adult..holy crap, where'd the last ten years go? between normal home maintenance, chores, this and that, and taking care of my disabled mom,my days are getting longer and longer,i'm lucky if i get 4 hours of sleep. in my case, complicated by chronic insomnia.so even when i get a moment to sleep,my brain wants to giggle over 70's cartoon jokes or sing the latest earworm song to itself. *sigh* add working from home in there too,and..well,ok.i should be thankful for that one. but..you ever wish you could go back to the days where you could have all day and splish puddles or park your butt in the hammock? i think it's time for me to go on strike for a day,and do that hammock parking with a few beers. there's two other people in this house. i'm not gonna adult.i think i'll cat.they have the right zen.

Yes the time is flying by and it is so sad to me Scarlet. Since I turned around 55, it has flown by friend. My Mom is 87 and cries saying that the time is getting away from her.

being a caretaker can swallow your days quickly and make you forget how to take care of yourself. My best sleep creeps up on me when I am not expecting it.

Everyone needs some down time and it sounds like most of your days are spent caring for others. You should find someone to fill in for you once a week, and give you a chance to have some time to get out and do what you want, or even take a nap.

you are right in what you are sayin' . the time goes by so fast that i can't even realise what i have done yesterdey , the day after and so on. the scientist sais that the ,,squeezing time'' will go on because of many factors like contamination and stuff. i wanna live the life i have without the stress that i dont have time for this , for that and so on. what do you think?
