The cougar's area is from Canada to Chile. She is about 200 1b. and can jump 18 feet and lunge 40 feet. Impressive agility and grace. Elusive. Do you ever think of wild animals as having charisma? Being a flat lander I would both lose my lunch and soil my jeans if I came into contact with one. Would love to see one in the wild though. I'd give up my lunch and a good pair of jeans to see one. Would you?

I don't think I'd like to see one face to face, unless there were a fence between us... though I believe these animals belong in the wild and not in cages. I wish people would leave animals alone and let them live in peace.

@celticeagle Many of those injuries are caused by humans. Boating accidents for marine life, car accidents for land animals, birds flying into power lines, animals getting caught in traps, barbed wire, or being hunted. And heck, if we left the animals' habitat in peace the animals wouldn't attack each other quite as frequently.. most of that is just fighting over their limited territory or their limited food supply.

@katsmeow1213 -- You're right. Man always has had an arrogant attitude. Animals and look at how they handled the Native Indians. It's horrid!

I so agree with you and wish they would too. I don't go to zoos anymore. It just breaks my heart. Here there are animals that have been injured and can't fend for themselves but I still feel awful seeing them behind bars and fences.

There aren't that many left in the world, trophy hunters kill them.

That is true. That's why it is so cool to see them on shows like this one.
