Payout limit

In the old myLot we could set limits for payout starting from 10 dollars and multiples thereof. I do not see that here. Have you come across where we can set the limit?

I think the official response from GAA was that there were no current plans to add additional amounts. If you'd like to wait to claim your payment until you've accumulated a larger amount, all you need to do is remove the PayPal address from your profile. Add it again when you're ready to get paid.

Will they be holding our funds for us then? 10 dollars is not a big sum for transaction which involves paypal and then our bank. I would prefer to accumulate. Thanks for the suggestion I will do that, hoping that myLot will keep the payment pending.

@yukimori I prefer it that way. But would certainly try to reach the limit each month

@allknowing Yeah, they've always insisted that we have to have a valid PayPal address entered. If the field is blank, they won't be able to send the payment and your balance will carry over to the next month.

@Yukimon has given you the complete answer and the recommended 'workaround'. I am hoping that, in the future, they may reintroduce limits or, perhaps, a checkbox which indicates that you'd like payment the next time that it's due. That would make it simpler than deleting one's PayPal address and adding it when you want payment. If they decided to add a checkbox, then a reminder that it's checked/unchecked which appears when one reaches $10 and before the payments are actually ready to be sent out would also be handy. I would also like to see an option to direct one's payments to a selection of international charities. This might help people whose countries don't accept PayPal.

I don't think you need to set any limit on this version, it will take you forever to reach a payout and by then you will only be thinking in terms of that the site did right not setting any limits revision or why was not the limit set like triond where you can redeem $0.50 .

Forever to reach a payout? I know at least two users have already hit the $10 minimum to get their payments in September, and my personal experience is that the earnings are at least comparable to what could be earned from the old myLot. The big difference is that earning here is more about how other members interact with your posts, not your personal activity like it was on the previous version.

@yukimori only two users is an answer in itself.

@suni51 Is it really? They only relaunched the program at the beginning of the month. The users who have said they reached $10 have both been very active... and they've both been interacting with other members a lot more than I have, so it's no surprise that they've earned more than I have. There's no way I'm going to reach $10 by the end of the month, but I'm going to have it by the end of September for sure. I'm not going to be the only one, either. Personally, I think it's awesome... I was averaging about 2-3 payments per year for a while because I wasn't on here much.
