I Have Some Re-arranging To Do

United States

I bought a new serger (or interlock) sewing machine yesterday and now I have to figure out where to put it. I have only 2 tables in my place. One is in the kitchen and the other is in the front room where my laptop and printer are. I could use the table that is in the kitchen but I would have to bring it into the front room where there is more light. Thing is, I would have to rearrange stuff in the front room. I have a bookcase, a table, a folding chair, portable bed, and cushioned chair here in the front room. I could get the tables set to where they are in an L-shaped form. I would have to put the bookcase somewhere else. In the kitchen maybe? Or just put the smaller table where this one is and then this one perpendicular to the smaller one at the end of it. Decisions. Decisions. Help!!

I posted a discussion about the serger last night. The title is Yarn and Serger. I think I have it figured out how I want to arrange the tables and bookcase but first need to get other stuff out of the way of where I want to place them.

I envy your Serger machine. I wanted to buy one, but I have not a table where to pace it. It seems we have the same problem. I believe that your idea to shape the tables in a L-shaped form should work.

I have the tables and bookcase arranged to where I want them. Now I have to clear the table for the sewing machines off.

I have been rearranging things for a long time and still don't have anything right. I know how hard it is to get things to fit and still be convenient to use.

It's kind of hard to arrange stuff in this little efficiency apartment. There are two rooms...the front room and the kitchen. Plus the bathroom, of course. Not many electric outlets so I have to arrange with that in mind, too.

I love organizing! However, I usually prefer to organize other people's things, which is kind of weird. Organizing my boring stuff is just not as exciting.

@dashboardc33 My stuff is pretty boring, too. Books and yarn and fabric and clothes. Not much furniture at all.
