Childhood favorite movie

I probably don't really have a favorite movie per say, but I love going back to movies I watched as a kid, and not even just for my son's sake. They just give me that feel-good feeling, like I have no care in the world, like as a kid. Do you have certain movies you like watching to reflect back on your childhood?

Of course, it has to be The Wizard of Oz. We watched it every year.

I actually never realized how popular that movie really is. Always will be a classic.

The butterfly effect is one I love from my childhood(ish) , and since the main storyline IS a guy going back to his childhood memories its pretty cool

I LOVE that movie! Even though Ashton Kutcher usually goes for more comedy roles, he did really well in this drama/thriller.

I can quote this movie. I used to sing "Follow the Yellowbrick Road" constantly with my dad. It was our song.

We didn't have TV when I was a kid, it hadn't reached New Zealand then, but used to go to the movies on Saturday afternoons. I can't remember any in particular that stood out.

I loved Little Mermaid. And when I was a bit older, Harry Potter!

I have been going to movies for over 75 years including days when we saw a double bill--I can't even make a list of 100 favorite films I have so many!! I do remember the Disney movies like Dumbo, Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, Fantasia, but then I also remember Bette Davis movies, the 3 Stooges, etc. I went to the movies to escape being home!

I also loved going to the movies to escape my parents. Mostly on dates or with good friends. I still like to go out on rare date nights with my husband if there is a movie we both want to enjoy together.
