Dancing Around The Edge...

How honest are you when you answer a discussion here? How far in to it do you go? Do you jump into the deep end and go full in or do you dance lightly around the edges with your laughter following you on the breeze? I had a couple of friends start some good topics today. Now they were the type of topics that you could answer either way. You could keep it light and easy... like the kind of conversation you have with a group of friends over lunch at your favorite restaurant. You could answer them deep and heavy... like the talks you have late at night sipping something on the back porch while watching the moon cross the sky. I answered very truthfully and very deeply because that is who I am.... and more so on days when my heart is already heavy. I have epilepsy, depression and PTSD ... all of which affected my mood today. It comes through in my writing. Another question.... Do you look for light discussions, heavey real discussions, or a mix depending on your interests?

I respond to discussions that I can relate to, maostly something that I have or am going through. If a discussion isn't something that I can relalte to, and I don't know how to respond, then I will just not say anything. I like to stick with the topic and not go out of bounds so to speak. I am sorry for what you are going through, but something good will come out of it all, and one thing is that you made this discussion, and that is a good thing.

I bounce around based on moods these days. Bounds? I have never been one to color inside the lines. Thank you for your well wishes.

@TLChimes There are some discussions, that I answer with mayube humor, and others, I am serious. I think it depends on my mood at the time, and the topic of discussion.

It is easy when the topic is familiar to us , when you get topics that fascinates you. Then the response will be very honest and you give your best. Discussion for discussion's sake will be a loose job.

I try to answer discussions as well as I can. I think when we can talk to each other it makes a better experience for everyone.

I say far too much, and yet not all. I don't like to give everything away.

I have always said either nothing or too much. I am not good at filtering what I share. I kind of thing that I am who I am and life is what it is and people can either deal or forget I am around.

This is exactly what i was hoping for a discussion on the way you are and who you are. We can have the light and happy discussions..who wouldn't want to answer on them?..but to have a discussion about feelings to relate or not is something usually people shy away from..I will not cause i care very much for you and how you are. You answered in mine the most honest and truthful way you do always and i respect and honor you for that..I just wish it wasn't so much hardship in your life but all i can hope is you stay as you are but happier because of the friends here that care for you!..hugs

(((hugs))) I find a lot of comfort in my friends. I think I answer the way I do because I figure that I am who I am and there is no reason to hide that. And my life is what it is. Sometimes I answer a discussion or I post something and someone will tell me that I helped them or they understood just that feeling or "how did you know I needed that today?" I find those interactions to be a gift... a simple reminder that all of the lessons I've learned can be put to good use because when I post things, it is because of some understand that I have reached because my life "is what it is"
