Disney Freak

I love any and everything Disney. I have been to DisneyWorld many times and I have been to DisneyLand once. I don't really prefer one over the other because each has it's own unique charm. This picture was taken a few years ago in DisneyLand. It was in October so everything was decorated for Halloween. I would really like to go one year during the Christmas holidays but I know it will be so crowded. We were planning a trip to DisneyWorld for early next year but it looks like we may have to wait another year. My brother and I are wanting to move into a house after the first of the year and that is more important. Plus, the way I am feeling right now, I couldn't walk through the parks. My friends and family think I am a Disney Freak and I guess I really am. I went to DisneyWorld for the first time when I was 40 years old and I have been hooked every since.

You have found another Disney freak. I went to DisneyLand three times and I cannot count how many times I went to Disneyworld. I agree, you cannot say that one is better than another, they are different.

@simone10 Yes, I am Sharon. Every time I was able to get inside I would never want to come out. I do not know why I like those parks so much, but I do.

@LadyDuck Me either! I always feel like I am in another world and the outside world doesn't exist. It's a nice fantasy for a while.

@simone10 I too love Disney. I watch the cartoons movies from time to time. I went to Disney World shortly after it opened with a friend of mine. I would like to go again but first of all I live in Riga, Latvia now and second, everything in these parks has gotten so terribly expensive.

It really is way to expensive and unless you have some kind of coupons you would have to save for a long time to be able to go there.

@RasmaSandra and @Marcyaz Disney can be expensive but if you go during certain times of the year, it isn't bad at all.

It sounds interesting to visit DisneyWorld or DisneyLand. I have not visit any of them before, but I think I will enjoy my journey there if I am there. Though I am not a big fan of Disney, I like the cheerful and friendly characters. I am sure my children will be excited if we bring them there, but it's just too far for us.

It is a great place for kids but it is also a great place for adults who love to find the kid inside of them.

I've never been and really have no wish to. What is it that appeals to you as an adult? You can tell that I am completely ignorant, as I thought those places were for children. I'm sorry that you won't be able to go next year.

It's kind of hard to explain. It's a place where you can go and forget about your worries. You can be a kid again and enjoy the simple things. It's not all about the characters, although that is a big part. They have shows and rides which are a lot of fun.

No problem with being a Disney freak or going there for the first time at the age of 40. Hey we all have a child still inside of us so it is fun. To bad you can't go next year but you will go again.

@simone10 Good for you saying you will go again. I understand where you are coming from about walking longer distances, I have the same problem with walking as I can't walk far.

Thanks! I will go again and it is probably best that I don't go anytime soon. I have to get myself to where I can walk for longer distances.

@Marcyaz A lot of my problem has to do with my back. I have been told that I can't get RA in the spine so there has to be something else going on. I have an appt with my primary care doctor soon to find out what's going on. Once that is solved, I will be ready to go.

Busch Gardens in Orlando Florida is where we spent a few days which could compare well with Disney World.. One needs months to cover the whole area and the fun that is available there.

We will probably go within the next year or so. It is better for me to be able to plan everything than go on the spur of the moment anyway.

We have friends who are Disney freaks too! We know a lot of young families who have bought season passes to Disneyland and they literally go every weekend (it's about a 45 minutes drive from here). We never did that because I don't know if I could handle the "Magic" that often - ha ha - plus the drive there! We would love to go to Disneyland again (it's been 7 years), but it's so expensive. But it'd be cool to visit Disneyworld someday - that's something we'd like to do!

" I couldn't walk through the parks." You can take a wheelchair and get into the exhibits bypassing the lines!! That's new about the home!! I am NOT a Disneyland/world (yes I was to both) lover.

The Disney parks aren't for everyone. Among other things, you have to have a lot of patience to put up with a lot of people and waiting in line.

I would like to go one time when it wasn't very busy. It would be nice to be able to go right into the rides and shows without having to wait in line.
