Spoiler alerts I thought it was a great start to the latest Peter Capaldi season, though with many unanswered questions about how Davros is alive at all, and how Missy survived without regenerating too. They still forget 7th Doctor blew up Skaro even when quoting his 'rice pudding' line. Davros got an unexpected gag in when saying the Doctor now looks like him. The medieval axe guitar was daft but funny, and a desperate attempt to make The Doctor seem cool. Missy got some great one liners especially in her jealousy towards Davros as a rival arch enemy. The swamp hands combined Pan's Labyrinth and the quicksand scene from Trial Of A Time Lord. I think the child giving his name as Davros was a real 'oh wow' moment. The Mos Eisley style how many creatures and former characters can we get into a few scenes were overdone; Ood, Jadoon, Karn, etc. The snake guy was very creepy though. The title was ambiguous. HUGE Doctor Who fan here from 3rd Doctor, Jon Pertwee onwards. I noticed your post earlier but didn't read until now since I have only just finished watching the episode. Awesome episode and the first that has made me warm to Capaldi. With Skaro, as with The Time War, War Doctor etc, don't forget time is a wibbly wobbly timey whimey thing

@arthurchappell You lucky man! There is a Doctor Who festival in Sydney, Australia shortly. While I'd love to go, with flights and festival ticket, it is, sadly, out of my financial reach. Hopefully, there will be others.

I shouldn't be reading this, I don't want to know it all before I see it.

That's why I added spoiler alerts - it tells anyone it could give away plot details
