Thinking about planting lettuce, parsley, and cabbage...Pruning my tomatoes..harvesting sunflower seeds..might be plenty for roasting soon. Noticed a lemon tree sprouting from seeds i planted a few weeks ago..my garden with all the flowers and herbs looks like a Jungle when you walk to my front door but the birds and frogs and other creatures love it...So do i.. Anyone else planting?..What will you plant?..too bad i can't plant brownies

Where I live you can't plant so late in the season, too cool.

I do not really have the opportunity and time for a fall garden this year. Check with me in about ten months. Your brownie idea makes me think of the song the Lollipop Tree from my childhood.

I've given up, not a single seed I planted this year came up and none of the fruit trees produced a thing. The only one that has anything is the orange tree and I'm hoping they stay in place till December.

@Rosekitty Well of course we have olives but they aren't in the garden. Something dug the fig tree up and I have yet to have a pommie last long enough to be picked, something eats them. A lot of people didn't do well with seeds this year though.

@Jessicalynnt..depending on the size of your space outside..start with a few planters and put some lettuce and spinach in them..buy from your local gardening store or do herbs if you cook....you can also do tomatoes

@Jessicalynnt yes watering helps...and planters would be best since puppys do dig..

@Rosekitty space I have, tons and tons of it. BUT we have moles/voles and well, puppys that like to dig. lol. so planters might be a better idea. I tried a tomatoe last year and couldnt keep it alive, but maybe I didnt do the soil part right, or didnt water enough or too much
