I was quite excited over the weekend when a friend of mine asked me to go to New York with him at Easter which I have agreed to. We are planning to go just for a few days although we have yet to decide what we would like to do when we are there. We may well go up the Rockefeller centre although I have done this once before. Another place I would like to visit would be Ellis Island as I did not get the chance the last two times I was there. I then got thinking. Quite a few people on another site suggested that I should have let them know I would be in New York last May and they would have tried to arrange a meeting. Now that is something that would be really quite interesting to meet some of our American friends. So if anyone would like to consider meeting up in New York one afternoon for a catch up do let me know. It would be great to meet some of the writers on this and the other site.

My husband and I visited NY at Easter many years ago. It was an extremely cold Easter with snow and slush in the streets. I took a photo out of a bus. A snow plough is running in front of it.

We went to New York on the way to meet a very good friend who I only knew from the Internet and now know in person, I would love be going there again one day. Enjoy

I am sure there must be some writers who live in the area, and some are close-ish. It doesn't always snow at Easter, poor @MALUSE just had bad luck.

It would be exciting to meet up with some online friends when you go to NY. There's always something to do and something to see when visiting even though you've already been there.

Lucky you Gary, it is always a pleasure to go to New York. Easter can be a wonderful weather or terribly cold, this is unpredictable.

that's wonderful yer gonna be able to make that trip 'n i so hope ya get to meet some folks who've touched yer heart via this sorta writin' thingy. i fear new york is a fair piece from here, sadly. fer myself, i'd be seekin' out the many waterfalls 'n trails 'f the countryside.

I visited NYC once thoroughly enjoyed it.... I think it would be nice to have a little mylot conference, where we could get together and meet some of our connections...
