Sleep Begets Sleep

I took some time off from work this week to enjoy some rest and relaxation. A chance to "recharge my batteries" if you will. And so far, I've really enjoyed the art of doing nothing all day, but what I've realized is that being lazy is hard work! I have found myself completely exhausted from my lack of physical and mental activity! As a result, I have been taking lots of naps throughout the day, and then I find I have to take more naps later because taking all those naps makes me tired! I guess it's a vicious, never ending cycle! Hopefully, by the end of the week I will get it all out of my system, and feel refreshed, re-energized, and ready to go back to work. Otherwise, I may need another vacation to recuperate from this current vacation!

@moffittjc LOL I know what you mean. Doing very little or even nothing during the day each day for a period of time can just make you want to sleep a lot. Can make ya a total couch potato.

And I have a very comfy couch, so it's just calling me to come be a couch potato! I have to fight the urge every day!

yeah sleep brings more sleep , but you know ,,, when you work hard and then you try to sleep , that will feel much better than sleeping to run away from the rest you had :)

It is absolutely true that if you sleep too much, you feel tired. You have to expend energy to get energy.

So true! But it has been so long since I've taken time off, that my worn down body needed to rest and heal itself. I'll be good in another day or so!

Being lazy is a hard thing to do. I have been there myself. The more you sleep the more you need. Not a good thing. And on days like I am having now, cloudy and raining, who wants to go out and do anything. We all need that downtime to refresh ourselves.
