The Cherry Blossoms are in Full Flower

This weekend there are several events on locally, celebrating the Spring flowering of the blossoms. Last week my husband and I took a drive through the local gardens, to enoy the blossoms before the winds come and blow them from the trees. Blossoms are such delicate things and Spring is such a changeable time of the year. It's such a shame this beauty is so short lived. For those of us in the southern hemisphere, this is probably a sight often seen at the moment. For those of you in the northern hemisphere you're probably still enying all the bautiful colours of autumn or fall. My favourite season is autumn. What is yours?

I like spring and autumn. I don't like winter, so autumn makes me a little sad. --- I've always wanted to write something for your coffee club, but haven't done so. Well, today I have and I've posted the text on this site.

I like all the seasons, but Spring is my favourite. Nature is waking up, and the blossoms such as those you talk about are glorious. But as you say, one storm and they're gone.

@valmnz lost many trees, vast gardens 'f diff'rent types 'f flowers/'r shrubs. i feel fortunate to've the ones who survived nearly 8 years 'f drought. jest aint the heart to go replantin' 'n when i do (this is the first year we've gotten outta the severe drought), it'll be in native plants so's not to 'xperience such misfortunes 'gain.

I used to think summer was my favourite season, till we got hit by this strange humidity last year, then I so appreciated the slightly cooler days of autumn, now after icy winter nights, I am enjoying spring, so, I guess, autumn and spring are now my favourite seasons.

It's a case of everything in moderation at these times. And the colours are splendid in both.

I definitely like Autumn the best, the weather is the nicest and the colors are lovely. Dry air, no humidity.

No. You probably know more about these trees than I do, but they're merely decorative or ornamental or something!

I love fall because of the falling leafs and the different colors that they change when they fall from the trees.

Yes, while the colours of Spring are so welcome after a drab winter, the autumn leves are vibrant as they hang on to life.

Looks so beautiful. I love those cherry blossom trees. I love spring too, that is when I get to see a lot of birds.

I like fall the most too, that being said, spring is also nice. We were in Japan in late Feb early March and we got to see some very early cherry blossoms, it was amazing.

I imagine the cherry blossoms were even better in Japan. We watched a Japanese lady take a photo of her little girl under a cherry blossom in town the other day.
