A rat, a cockroach, a spider, a lizard, and a snake

Which of these would you kill first, if you could. I would kill the snake, followed by the rat, and then may be I would stop. Rest are brainless enough to go their own way. I could kill the two insects any day with poison, and lizard never harmed me, nor anybody I know. So I have no valid reason to kill it.

It depends on what kind of snake it is. I would not kill a harmless garden snake. They eat small vermin like mice and rats. Spiders, if regular harmless ones will keep down the insect population, so I would ignore unless one decided to crawl on me. Rats can be dangerous and they breed quickly, so I would kill the rat if the snake didn't eat him first. The cockroach will breed quickly and take over if I don't kill him, so I might kill him first to avoid thousands of cockroaches by next month. I don't think we even have lizards around here, but I doubt I would think to kill it.

@vandana7 It would depend on where I am. Where I live, it's not warm enough for most snakes, and we get mostly harmless ones. I do believe there may be rattlesnakes, but those are very easily distinguished. It depends on where you are, what kinds of snakes there are and whether or not they are poisonous. Here, where the cold weather is moving in, the vermin and insects are moving into the houses for the winter. Much rather have the snake kill the rat and the spider kill the fly and I will terminate the cockroach.

I'd start with the roaches. I hate them so I'll squish them when I see them or spray them with a secret killing formula! Then I'd go for the rats... but I'd use rat food poison on them. I don't think you should include the lizard because they are harmless. As for the snakes, well we don't have them around here so it's safe. In regards to spiders, I will probably squish some when I clean out all the cobwebs.

@vandana7 We do have them in the provinces but since I live in the city it is rare to have snakes around us unless it is in some grassy neighborhood somewhere out there in the suburbs...

Definitely the snake, as I hate them with a passion, as they are so darn ugly, and I have no use for them at all. There are some very dangerous too, so I would do everything I could to get rid of that first, then the rat, as I cant stand them either. I am not sure about the lizard, as they aren't bad creatures at all. I would also kill the cockroach, with anything I had in my arsenal.

@vandana7 Yes that is true, as I used to live in Hawaii, and there are geckos there that are tiny lizards. They are there to get the cockroaches, and there are millions of them in Hawaii, and big ones too. We never bothered the geckos and they never bothered us. They were on the deilings and wall mostly.

But lizard can kill that cockroach for you, right?

Surely I would not kill the lizard, they are harmless animals. I do not kill animals, I will stay away from shakes, rats and cockroach, here we have small harmless spiders, I do not care about them.

If you had to? I mean, you are in a jungle, all alone, and the snake is there and you badly want to sleep, and the rat is there, it is going to eat away whatever you managed to save for tomorrow. What then?

@vandana7 The snake will eat the rat (they are their favorite food), I wait and then I kill the snake.

I'm glad that I don't have to think about this question because there are no snakes where I live. Why should anyone even think about killing a cockroach, a spider or a lizard? Rats run away when they see people.

Sometimes they dare. They wait for you to move and then they start moving. The braver ones I mean.

The rat first. And just after, when the snake comes to gulp the rat down and shows signs of attacking, the strike will fall. I have never been afraid of lizards or cockroaches, so I'll leave them alone. And the best thing is to leave a spider be, unless it starts spinning cobwebs on the walls and making them look....well....dusty.

Logically that should be first because the rat can run away, but snake is capable of speed as well. And while rat runs away, snake stands the ground, and attacks!

@vandana7 so new order: snake kills the rat and then I kill the snake. Technically, I didn't have to consider the rat at all!

Out of these, only spiders (not all) are the ones bothering me and I will just not get in the way. Might think of killing the rats and cockroaches - the pests. As for snake, have seen plenty of harmless ones being killed just for being themselves. I will rather take a risk... and as always... not get in their path! lol

I wont kill the snake. That is certain. It might eat up the rat - which will quench his huger. Animals will not kill as long as they are not hungry or do not feel a scare. So I will take a risk and spare the Snake first. The lizard - probably is the safest and will not bother me, it does not bite and mostly is peace loving - at least when I think of lizards in the house that feed on spiders and other insects leaving us undisturbed. So I will leave the spider for the lizard. However, if I have to start with a kill, I will kill the spider first - as spiders are dangerous - the chemicals they secrete can cause damage. Plus, they might not be visible in the dark.

Cockroach. The rest depends if I can't avoid them.

I don't know about killing them, but I'd avoid all of them like the plague, except the lizard. As you say, lizards are harmless.

Is it a tricky question? Do these insects mean any symbols? If not, i would kill rat firstly, because it is the quickest i think. I would kill lizard in the end if it is poisonous
