I’m so cold!

Yesterday afternoon, as I was leaving the parents’ evening, I started feeling a bit strange, in a rather non-specific kind of way. We got home and I prepared dinner for myself and the girls (my partner is away with work) but I didn’t feel like eating too much. By the time the girls were asleep I was feeling quite nauseous so I went to bed early. In the wee small hours I woke up again and found I had some sort of stomach bug. Once the worst was over though I did feel better, and managed to get a couple of hours’ more sleep before morning.
I took the girls to their various places and did a couple of other errands and now I’m home again trying to get some work done – the assignment I should have done yesterday. I’m feeling ridiculously cold though, I’m wearing 5 layers already and still feeling very chilled. I don’t know what’s causing this, I don’t think it’s anything I ate as I had the same breakfast as the girls (who are fine) and I started feeling odd before dinner so it isn’t that. I just hope it isn’t catching so I’m hoping I don’t get a call from school or nursery saying one of them is sick too!

Oh, it's not good especially with little ones around! I also get sick for no apparent reason. Had a good & restful sleep, ate well, had a happy day, yet woke up feeling unusually ill. Went to the Doc. He smiled & said my body is just warning me that I had too much of everything the past days & just need to slow down. I found him weird but I did as he said. True enough, after another day of "slowing down" (on activities & food intake), I felt a lot better.

hot baths or showeres normally work good it might be a stomach virus or a 24 hour bug going around hope you feel better

I always get sick every year just after school starts. Somehow, the kids never get too sick, sometimes a sniffle or two, but I come down with raging flu. And every year it takes me by surprise. I hope you recover quickly, being sick is no fun, especially when you have a lot of things to do.
