Why Do They Call the Confederate Naval-Jack/Battle-Flag "the Confederate Flag"?

It makes me sick; these Southerners (of the United States) claiming "Southern Pride" keeps them 'waving that flag,' when it's NOT EVEN THE WHOLE FLAG! But I wonder: if they opted for the second- or third official flag (which--you can see--include the 'offensive' naval jack in the design), would 'racism-sufferers' still be "offended" at its display?

I don't mind the flag at all. I think people associate it and are satisfied with joining the flock of others that are like minded.

I didn't ask if you do---I'm sorry if I made it look like I was. I'm asking 'how THEY (the people who do) do it.' I mean, for all those years they were showing the TV-show The Dukes of Hazard imdb.com/title/tt0078607/ the Battle Flag flew in good representation of what it truly means! How did a bunch of whiny cry-babies force the broadcasters to take down the show for fear that flag might mean something offensive?

@mythociate Because political correctness = censorship. And the government reinforces censorship whenever they can, because it gives them more power.

@mythociate My relatives have a lot of intelligence about them and they still fell victim of the media's agenda to see the flag as a symbol of racism. It's probably because hollywood has been using it that way for decades. It makes me wonder if ISIS suddenly adopted the peace sign and started branding it in their victims and using it in their propaganda if people would suddenly the peace sign became a symbol for Islamist whatevers. Would they declare that peace rallies where they use that symbol is a group supporting ISIS? I bet it would happen the same way.

I am not American and I do not really know if this can be considered offensive or racism. In Europe every nation has its own flag.

So does America AND every individual state/territory IN America (and each of a bunch of our schools & colleges & sports-teams & companies).
