Muddy Mess!

Tonight our little community got hit with a pretty severe thunder and lightning storm. I went outside when the storm had passed to assess the damage. Not to bad, a few things had blown over, but no real damage. I took a treat out to my goats, knowing that the water had made slop out of their leftover feed. When I had finished, washing their tub and laying down some dry hay for them to sleep in tonight, I stepped just wrong in a muddy patch and down I went ! It was a slip and slide to get up, and when I got inside I had mud everywhere, my feet, clothes, hands and hair! I looked like professional mud wrestler...ughhh...The goats had just stood and stared at me kind of shocked, I wonder what they were thinking. Nothing hurt but my pride, and so it goes...

Actually a nice hot shower, didn't think of a bubble bath. That sounds relaxing.

We were supposed to be hit with some rain, but it never came. But not terribly far away, Hubby's friend posted videos of his property that was hit with the storm - oh it is a rivery, muddy mess for him too! I suppose the goats have never seen a chocolate covered @sherryeb before!

I guess our El Nino winter has started.How funny, I would guess that the goats might be thinking that!

I'm glad to hear there wasn't much damage. Those storms can really wreak havoc on an area when they come through!
I love the rain when we get it, but the gullywashers just dump so much at a time that the mud puddles are inevitable. I've fallen in them a time or three, too. 
At least you weren't hurt, aside from the pride. I'm sure the goats have already forgotten all about it by now.

I bet if anyone had been watching besides the goats they would have been laughing at me wiggling around in the mud.

@sherryeb I would so sorry but as I read your post I was really giggling coz I had the same experience and just stood up feeling nothing was wrong never knowing that all the people around saw me swimming in the mud haha. I should have asked someone to take a video of me. It would have been viral in youtube haha
