Today is my 3rd Son's 31st BD and he was trying to figure out what to do with this Possum he captured in our backyard. The lil bugger loves eating all my plants. We were really trying to get the squirrels that decided it is time to have Home sweet Home in Our attic and this guy decides he wants the food/nuts instead. Hopefully the picture comes out...let me know..

oh he is cute but they have huge appetites. When i still lived in an apartment with ny son at midnight every night old mr possum came down from the Tustin hills to our Garbage can, knocked off the lid and dumped out the contents. Then he picked through it to find the juiciest morsels and ate til his sides bulged. He made such a clatter I would wake up and try to chase him away. I got to sort of like the old bugger so to save the clatter and mess I put out an old plate of goodies for him every evening amd he ate them and left my can alone. lol

@Hatley My Son relocated him to a land across town that as plenty of trees and not many homes so he hopefully won't be bothering anyone again..he has ate many things i put out for other animals and lived in my backyard for years..so glad he is gone and now time to rid of the pesky squirrels.. Cute kinda but yes they eat a lot..

Now I know where those nuts I had stored for Christmas go But he is cute. As I read on your response to dear Ms Hatley, it is good that you have sent him off. Did you pack up his clothes too *searches the cupboard* Ah, good riddance. I have some more space now. *Stretches his legs*

At least the critter didn't get into your house like one did here one night. I ended up gettting it out with the broom, and I haven't had another one since, but then I close the door berfoe it gets dark, so they can't come in. It was sure scarey seeing it, but at least I got it outside so it could run away or do whatever it wanted to do.

@Rosekitty Yes, as I did when one got in my houes. At first I thoughtt it was a ferret. I then realized, that it was a possum, as it had the rats tail. Ugh, didn't take melong to get that critter out of my house, I kiid you not.

You might as well open the cage and he him back into the woods. Usually if an Opossum is out during laylight hours it's not a good sign.

Oh your picture showed up alright. Sorry, I don't like possums. I've had enough in my back yard over the years. Happy birthday to your son.
