Isn't It Always the Way

Have you ever noticed that when something important is about to happen, and you need to be at your best, something happens to sabotage it. That's where I'm at today.
I have glaucoma and need to have my eye pressures tested every six months. Today is the day of my appointment. But, I didn't sleep well last night, thanks to both the wind and Smooch the Cat. On top of that the Spring pollen is making my eyes dry, red and itchy. These things shouldn't actually affect the eye pressure, but are definitely annoying.
Do little things like this get sent to challenge you at the worst possible times?

yep, if I am late I drop everything, get food on me, and hit every red light. or something. take a long moment and just breathe! it will get better, once Murphy moves on to a new victim

Glaucoma is not to be taken lightly and I hope you will give it top priority.
It takes turns - sometimes great things happen in a row and so too harrowing things as you have pointed out - that is life.

I've had my glaucoma for at least 15 years and have had some serious moments, which eventually resulted in some tweaking surgery, along with all the lasers in the early days. I definitely take it seriously as I came close to losing my sight initially. Fortunately today my pressures were down.

I can't recall specific incidents but sure, they have happened to me in the past. My younger sister has glaucoma too, she also has regular appointments.

Oh yes. It seems to me that "when it rains, it pours," so to speak.

Definitely! I have a lot of big problems that I'm dealing with, then little ones pop up and nearly drive me over the edge, because I have to drop everything else to fix the small ones, before they become big ones too. Today it was a screwdriver in my tire. Actually, it's a rental, and the people are really nice. Last week someone on a bike ran into the car and caused minor damage, and I felt horrible (insurance will cover it). Then this! Trying to find the exact same tire somewhere so I don't cause them added stress lol.
I hope that you have a good day and your pressures are good. :)
