I Just Checked The Most Recent Posts

I checked what is supposed to be "the most recent posts" here. But some are at least 3 hours done already. I wouldn't put them in the "most recent" page. Would you? If they are indeed the most recent posts, it means that the action is pretty dismal today.

I see some changes now and again. Especially in recent posts. I think people just are not active here sometimes. I know I have not done as much here today or even last evening.

As you say, it simply demonstrates how quiet the site is at present.

My point exactly.

I suppose that if there haven't been too many recent discussions started, then maybe they are the most recent.

@marlina I suppose it just means that there aren't as many online as at other times. Its like when we used to see the same posts stay up for an extended period of time because of less traffic on another site.

Maybe it has to do with the nicer, cooler weather. People are out more enjoying it before the cold weather hits. Once winter sets in, there will probably be more people on mylot.

I am getting the same thing. Even when I see interesting it is posts from days ago and ones I have seen a million time. Even hot and top rated are old and don't seem to change. I noticed that some of these sit there for days on end and never change. The only thing that changes is the fact they are widely viewed because they are seen so often. So after a while of seeing them day in and day out you give a response to them. I think they should be rotated more often so others have a change to be noticed too.

I completely agree about the posts being rotated more often.

@poehere There must be a better and clearer way to do it. We are wasting too much time looking for posts that we want to read.

@marlina I just feel it's unfair that I see the same ones day in and day out and I have to spend hours searching to find posts like yours and others that I want to read and comment on.

It's probably like that because not many people have posted today. I see the site is a bit slow but enough to keep me busy.

That only depicts the slow pace on some days. But this site performs better than most other sites.

I'm checking posts under the "Recent" heading right now and there posts that go back as far as 11 hours ago. Some of them are listed more than once, in fact.

I never expect much on weekends. People tend to be busy

I just looked and there were a dozen posted in the last half hour. So I wonder if you could have hit one of the other buttons.

A dozen is not much for a big site like this one.

maybe because its the weekend and most people have things to do when they aren't working. I work at home so every day is a work day :)

It could just mean there is a lag time before they show up. I'm not sure.

As usual on Sundays the site is pretty calm. It's cold today, I like to sit here in front of my computer.

Three hours doesn't sound very recent.
