Caveat Emptor!

A friend of mine came into work the other day looking thoroughly hacked off. When I asked him what was up he explained to me that he had taken his daughters to a Little Mix concert the previous evening. Ok, so that might explain why he was fed up but surely the joy on his daughters' faces would make up for the 90 minutes of tedium and wrist-slashing boredom he'd had to put up with. "If only that were so" he moaned! Apparently, they turned up at the venue, six months of anticipation all bottled up and waiting to explode at the arrival, on stage, of the perky foursome. Imagine their disappointment when the house lights went down and and four Irish Dwarves, looking like they'd sampled slightly too much of the black stuff, sauntered on stage, performed a few folk songs, insulted the audience and left. "What on earth happened there?" I enquired, at which point he handed me the ticket stubs for a Little Micks concert!! I'll get me coat!!!

You had me going for a bit, then it turned into the sort of story The Man tells me.

@WorDazza I have some "tuning jokes" I tell during music gigs. Most lead to more groans than laughter. Have you heard: "Hydrogen atom walks into a bar..."?

I don't get it. Or, I might get it but might not. Honestly, I can be super dense sometimes. :)

Oops. What a pity, but a life lesson. Reading matters.
