Dreams are strange and mystifying

Eugene, Oregon

I woke up thinking of walking through a blooming orchard, fragrant with the scent of the blossoms, hummingbirds everywhere, yet I had no recollection of dreaming anything. So, I wonder if I did have such a dream? My wife has elaborate dreams peopled with characters and places from her past. I only remember dreams if they were scary enough to wake me, something that happens less frequently than in the past. Whether or not I had such a blossom-filled dream, it was still a good thought to wake up with. Do you remember many or all of your dreams?

I remembered my dream this morning but it's because I woke up during it and it was the type of dream that made an impression on me.

I think that it is (mostly) good to remember dreams.

I'm somewhat like your wife, my dreams are filled with people from the past, usually doing crazy things or in circumstances you'd never expect them to be.

Some dreams I remember and some I wonder if it was a dream. I seems to do a lot of thinking when I should be sleeping. Or am I sleeping and dreaming about thinking?

That is a very good question! I wonder about that too.

Some very well. A few even take place over a few days. My brain picks up where I left off, like in a TV series. It's strange.

I often have weird dreams at night. However, after I wake up, I can't remember them. This is because I had a deep sleep and this is why I can't remember my dream.

I rarely remember any of my dreams. When I am sick enough to have a fever I do sometimes remember a dream but it is one of those nonsensical ones that makes no sense whatsoever. I have been in car accidents and have hit my head in the same place twice now. I am wondering if that has affected my dream remembering ability.

@JamesHxstatic ....I really think that there is. I seem to recall actually remembering my dreams before those accidents.

I have had some fairly hard knocks and a concussion some years back. Maybe there is something to that.

I am like your wife, I have elaborate dreams, I see ancient places and I meet people. Most of the time I remember my dreams, but not always.

Sounds like a nice dream you had. I usually remember my dreams. My husband never does. I wonder what causes some people to remember.

I very rarely remember my dreams, while my partner often gives me chapter and verse!
