My best friend

The pic is of my best friend Rose. She lives in Ohio, where I formerly lived and we are about 500 miles away. She keeps begging me to move back, but I will never live in cold Ohio again. I am too much of a solar-powered person! I met her in the 7th grade, 40+ years ago. I did not like her at first. She was very outspoken and I was very shy. But we ended up becoming very good friends. We had a falling out several years ago and I did not talk to her for a few years. I went through this thing a couple of years ago, where I forgave everyone that wronged me and I contacted her again and we have rebuilt our friendship. Today, I found out she was diagnosed with lung cancer. Don't know yet how bad it is. I cried a bit, I hope she has a fight in her.

Wow! Lung cancer. That is pretty serious stuff. I think that if my BFF had this I would freak. I wish her well and hope you have a lot more time to spend with her.

She is currently in the hospital. They just got her off the ventilator. She has a new diagnosis of pneumonia. I am planning a trip home.

hope they can beat it in time for her - I have lost a few relatives to cancers, including lung cancer - she looks young from the photo and she obviously means a lot to you - best wishes possible for both of you under the circumstances

When friends have a falling , the friendship can never be the same again . That's the sad reality of friendship . Anyway , have you not contacted her even through FB to know how she is now since having the cancer ?

She needs your friendship - I am sure of that. There are many ways to beat cancer, and no harm in trying. I found it interesting when I read that cancer cells cannot live in an alcalic environment, which means in staying alcalic by eating lots of fruit and vegetables. Dr Robert O. Young is writing about it in Facebook. Send me a message if you would like more info.

@Pattitude Why not make a searc of what food is most alcalic. It is surprising that lemon is one of the most alcalic we can eat and it is good to start the day with lemon juice..

I was reading something similar in my Nutrition textbook this week. How many patients are eating too many vegetables and fruits that are acidic.

If the cancer is in early stage it is curable. Ask her to take the fruit guanabana. It is anti cancer. it kills only the cancerous cells leaving the good cells unlike chemotherapy which destroys the surrounding cells also. Let her use un adulterated turmeric in any form. It is anti cancer

@Pattitude It is available plenty in US and also in juice form. In Bangalore, India it is available in Nilgiris dept stores fruit market just in front of the dept stores . We have to find out if it is available in other places also. If it is early stage , let your friend do breathing exercise for 30 mts a day, ..

That is such terrible news. I am glad you were able to reconnect with her before this happened. At least she can know that you are in her corner.

Since I was last here, she was hospitalized and put on a ventilator. She is now off the vent. She also had pneumonia to add to on top of the cancer. I also found out the tumor is inoperable.
