For a short time in the 70s, thee were a few really great shows about truck drivers and the adventures they faced on he road.We never think of the situations truckers actually face ,dealing with people they face in businesses, along the way,and family and love interests. My two most memorable shows were Movin' On and B J and the Bear. Did any one else watch these shows besides me?

It's so nice to see you here. I loved BJ and the Bear. Very different from the reality shows of today. I think Ice Road truckers gets boring after you've watched several episodes. It's just them and ice.

I admit that I never watched either of those shows, but there are reality shows about truckers, some of them independent truckers bidding for jobs, etc.

Those rae okay, but not quite the same. The shows in the seventies had fre to them, a sense of adventure.Movin' On had one of my favorite old time actors in it,lCaude Akins. He portrayed a great , rough, tough truck driver.

No, never did. They were sitcoms, weren't they? I do watch Ice Road Truckers now though.

Not really, they were more adventure type shows.BJ and the Bear crossed over somewhat , because of he monkey, but Movin' On dealt with realistic issues like truck problems, dealing with irate customers, and other drivers, and issues along the way.

Movin' On had Claude Akins as a hard core driver and I can't remember the co star''s name right off the top of my head.
