Spammers beware you’re not wanted on MyLot

A new wave of spammers has hit the cyber airways and found their way to MyLot. Last night in No Responses I found so many spam messages it was amazing. What got me was one of them sounded so interesting. I sat and read through this very long discussion only to find in the end SPAM. I was so angry at the waste of time and the nerve of the person who posted this on the site. How dare they come here and try to entice you to open and read their discussions and in the end SPAM you with their crap. The site is fantastic at deleting these SPAM messages and more than likely blocking their accounts. What makes me the angriest is the fact they create a new email address and come back again. This time their username is very similar to the one they used the first time. I suggest the next time you visit No Response, and find a post that looks like it’s worth reading, scroll down to the end before you waste your time. You will always find one of their links at the bottom of this post. Be on the lookout they are they getting devious here on the site so you waste your time reading their discussions and they hope to lure you in. Image source – pixabay.com

There has been a moderate number so far, but I have not checked that section today. This is certainly not what we want here and I will definitely flag every one that I come across.

@poehere The one thing on our side is that Mylot admin respond to such flagging very quickly.

@Asylum Yes I have noticed this and that is so nice of them to do this. Keeping the site free of spam is so important.

Keep it up and hopefully we can get everyone on the site to do the same. The more they get the faster we will have to work to get rid of them.

At least they don't get paid when someone simply reads them without responding.

We all need to be vigilantes, as they poke around for other sites... and they will always find them.

Yes this one is so true. I think they have found it here because of all the talk lately. Now they know the site is back up and running and attracting a lot of new people here daily.

With that site closed it could happen here really soon. I never saw that many but in the last week I have seen a rise of how many are appearing on the site right now.

We need to nail them at the earliest time possible. We know what we need to do.

I have started to check out the no response section in the late evening here and this is when I find most of them. They have just posted and I have flagged them immediately. Everyone needs to check this section and flag the people.

@birjudanak They will never post you. They will just put it on the site. I find them in the no response section here on the site. Last night I found a lot of them. So I wrote this today to warn people they are becoming quite popular on the site right now and to look out for them.

Yes I think you are right. On a site like this content is not checked and anyone can post as they please. This leaves the door wide open for them to come here. I hope we all band together to fight this and stop them.

What is "No Responses"? My dashboard show Discussions, Responses and Comments. I don't see anything that says "No Responses" and I rarely get SPAM. In fact, I don't think I've had any spam comments since I've been here.

This one is easy to find. You go to the top of your page and you will see Me - People - and Explorer. If you hit explorer you will find no responses. Here you can find all the hot - recent - top posts of people on the site. There is even a section for new people who just arrived here. Hope that one helps.

The spammers seem to never give up. Just when you think they are gone, they come back.

That one is for sure. I think that is why all of us need to keep our eyes peeled fro them and stop them in their tracks. I know people here don't like them and if we band together we can get them off the site quickly thanks to the great work and efforts of the staff here on this site.

Spammers are everywhere. They're always looking for easy money. They're always trying to make money off of others hard work.

@poehere yes and even if you don't like telling or being one to meddle than think of it this way every time you see one and don't flag or report them you are letting them steal your hard earned money.I think they should ban the paypal address from the site that way if they make another email to come back they can't get paid unless its a different one and paypal requires your tax id number can't fake that and not many people will be so willing to let you use theirs and possibly cause them problems. Although I don't know if that is possible.

You're so right. That is why we have to get them deleted as fast as we find them. If not they will take over the site and we will be flooded with them all the time. If they find out they are banned and deleted they will give up soon enough.

It is a section on the explorer page and the categories is on the left. It is the last one in the first box. If you write a post and nobody responds on this it sits in this section until you get a response. That is what this section means. You should see quite a few of them in there. I was there not long ago and I think there is around 50+ in there now.

It is on the left side of you web pages. You have to go to Explorer. There is a box and in this box you will see interesting, top rated, most recent, hot, no response, new member. You will find it there if you know where to look. Good luck.

Here it is easier to control them because the admin deletes all reported posts right away. If you see one just report it and it is gone.

I have found most of them later on in the evening here where I live. I tag and report them quickly. I think when the admin open their mail first things they are in here deleting them. I normally find them in a section called NO Response. They are all in there.

I didn't have much time yesterday or today to read a lot. I just answered a few notifications and commented on a few posts. I have been sort of busy so I haven't been on here at all today.
