Your kids on Facebook?

Facebook is great, yes. But it's also an open place, where everybody you allow can see anything you publish on your wall. Considering that, I wouldn't post any picture of my kid on Facebook.... What about you?

I have been fortunate (so far) that both of my kids (age 16 and 12) absolutely hate Facebook. My daughter uses Twitter and Instagram, but she is very responsible on both. My son only uses Instagram, and he uses it to post photos and stop motion videos of his Lego creations.

That's good for you. Social medias are great tools but someone should use it cautiously. Children wouldn't likely be able to do that.

I do not see harm in placing kids pictures on Facebook as long as you do not give out names and address. However, I think you should only have people on your Facebook page that are your friends or family members.

That's the problem. It's good to have Facebook friends which are only the ones you personally know in real life. But, many (maybe most) Facebook users sometimes just add and add strangers. Moreover, some times predators are those who are close to your kids.

I did not allow my kids to be on face book. They did go on after they turned eighteen.

judy story said right we not have to allowed them to till turns 18 because its a open social sites and there are lot of cheaters also who take some annoying information and by making fake id and cheat you.so first kids understand properly then they can use.after all this years they have to play after it they have to work so they can understand themselves what is right and wrong so till lets allow them to enjoy and fun of childhood which never come again.

I wish they had a thing on Facebook to where we can allow an account to only be able to play games. My daughter is on Facebook for that reason and she is young. However, I do monitor what she does. I log on to hers numerous times to make sure she is behaving.

Nobody can see my photos unless I accept them as a friend. I post a ton of pictures of my kids.

My kids right now are 4, 2, and 9 months. So for the moment they don't really know what it is, or anything like that. Although my husband and I are on Facebook, we are still careful with what we post.

I do put some pictures of my daughter on facebook but my setting is for friends only and my facebook is not searchable. I only have family anf close friends on my list and I dont post any publicly. Just have to be cautious about posting pics and checking in .
