Go Ahead !

This morning , my husband was rushing me as usual , since we go to work together . It was just 7:00 in the morning and usually we go at about 7:20, yet we are still about 10 minutes early to work . When we arrived at the jeepney stand , there was no jeepney, yet there were already lots of commuters waiting . Finally , a jeepney almost full , passed by. There was one slot and this was on the front part , so I told him to go ahead . I let two jeepneys passed before finally taking one . But when finally I came to the place where I was to take another ride , I saw him alone , waiting still for another jeepney . I laughed out loud at him and hailed a tricycle instead , for us to ride . And he told me , " from tomorrow , I shall not wait for you anymore " . I told him “Go ahead !” At least , I won’t be stressed anymore by him , pestering me to rush up in the morning . And I know I am stressing him by waiting for me to finish dressing up for work too . And tomorrow we will be both stress free !

I think that is an excellent idea. Waiting a long time for a ride to work can be stressful. but if you leave at a certain time there is no need to change. You still arrive on time

@poehere Yes, that's what is foremost in his mind because he said he is still a new employee in our affiliate company .

I always have an allotment of 15 minutes ahead of time . For the past days we were okay and always arrive about 15 minutes before the office time . But it seems since Monday he wants to be earlier , much to my annoyance.

@SIMPLYD I can't see why unless he is afraid of not making it on time.

I hate to be rushed. That is why I always get ready earlier than I should. If I had to be at a place by a certain time, I'll be there half an hour earlier.

I do that too at all times . It's just that ever since my husband got the job at an affiliate of us , we commute together . And when he is ready even if it's still early, he will already rush me . So it would be better he go ahead when he goes to work .

@SIMPLYD If he likes to be too early, it is better that he goes off first and not wait for you. It will be better for your marital relationship.

@UmiNoor Yes, because we would always quarrel and hurt each other by our word war when it's always like that . So tomorrow , he will go ahead . And that's fine , so fine with me .

Congratulations, tomorrow you will be stress free.. My husband office hour is 9-5PM. Mine is 8:30-5:30. Before, he always wants to take train along with me, so we are already out of our home by 7:15AM. Just last month he told me he will stop to go with me, haha, because he is too early to office. One hour early and his 5PM is until 630. So he just end up spending more time in his office. Oh ate, you will miss your husband for sure. Because sometimes I miss my hubby while I am in the train.

Oh no i won't, because i get to see him in their office just a stair away from ours . I always go there to audit our cashier which is there at the Central treasury of all the affiliates our boss handles. Then , at lunchtime , we eat together at the canteen .

I am one who is always ready either early or on time and have to wait. I'm not always very patient when I have to wait on someone. I think you came up with the best solution to your problem.

@SIMPLYD Men are always able to get ready quicker but it's because they don't have as much to do as we do to get ready.

Sometimes it's best if you each do your own thing. But it is hard sometimes for couples to do that. They feel a need to look out for each other - and that's nice too. I hope your mornings become stress-free.

Leaving early always help in reaching in time to our workplace. In your case, you need to depend upon public transport so you need some extra 10-15 minutes to cover up the waiting time for jeepney.

I don't like to be rushed too. I guess I'd also ask him to go ahead, and I'd just wait alone if I were in your situation too. In that case, you might be happier (stress-free), and so does he.

We have two cars and use them all year until winter. Then we usually put one away until spring. We share pretty good but we are both retired so no stressful worries.
