I set this morning aside for a marathon Christmas card writing session for which I bought a big box of Xmas cards over the weekend only to discover this morning that I left them in a bar I went to on Sunday. I rang the pub concerned to check that is where I suspected they were and they are keeping them until I can pop in tomorrow afternoon, as I have to visit Manchester then anyway.
I fell back on my online activity and did a little shopping for today.

they are still popular here and so much nicer than an e-mail greeting or general facebook message

@arthurchappell I am glad that some countries keep this ancient tradition.

I'm glad they have kept them for you.... it's refreshing these days, in this throw away society....

and you sounded so organised but you are still ahead of me, although thanks to the internet and being of work the last few days I have most of my presents (well the post does)

@cindiowens I only post the ones for friends who live too far away for a personal visit before Christmas - If I see them between now and the 25th I give them their card by hand.
