Ice and Cell Phones

My daughter in-law went to work and fell on the ice in the driveway and her cell phone flew out of her pocket and hit the ground and it now is dead. She was okay thank goodness. She called me to see if I still had that extra cell phone which I do have and after work she picked it up and put her sim card in it. Works fine but I thinks she is hoping for a new cell phone for Christmas. It was a good thing that I had that extra one as she gets a lot of calls that are work related. This is a lesson why you should have a carrying case for your cell phone as it might have prevented the phone from receiving such a hit.

I don't keep my phone in my pocket it's always in my purse. Glad she is okay though and did not get hurt.

She never takes a purse to work so that wouldn't work for her.

It's a shame that the phone broke, but at least she was not hurt.

We are glad it was the phone that broke and not her breaking a bone or worse.

I'm glad she wasn't hurt, You could be right about the case or cover, our dog has knocked my phone onto the floor(which are marble), accidently with his tale, a couple of times, and I think the only thing that saved it, is the case.... I'm sorry your daughters phone broke, its expensive to replace them .... lucky for her you had one

I use a "Lifeproof" case for my phone. It is great and I have never had a problem.

I have a case for mine and so does her husband, she has cases here that would fit it so I have no idea why she didn't put that phone in a case as it would have fit in one of them.

I have a rubber phone protector but can't remember what its called. Something otter? I've dropped it many times and so far so good. My phone is about three years old. It's good she didn't hurt herself.

I'm glad she's okay and didn't get hurt in her fall. It's good you had a spare cell phone for her to use.
