Computer mouse

I hate cordless mice as they need batteries and the little clip attaching to the computer itself. I hate the little finger pads on modern computers even more. Last time I bought a mouse I picked a mouse in the shop simply because it has a cord and it was nice and cheap. Once home and plugged in it took a few minutes for my computer to recognize it while I wondered if it was compatible or not at all. Once it lit up and the cursor started moving I was overjoyed to find two extra buttons than I am used to using - namely ones that let me return to previous web pages or go back to the one just vacated. I love my mouse - not the kind my cats would appreciate, but good enough for me. Arthur Chappell

I have been using wireless mice for years now and intend to stick to them. The laptop touchpads are easy enough to use, but we always find it awkward because we use then so little. As for those extra buttons, I personally find them totally superfluous and only ever use the basic two.

@arthurchappell naturally I have used most forms of mice from the early serial and PS2 mouse to the USB and wireless mouse. I am quite comfortable with any of them, but do prefer wireless these days. What I do hate are those enormous mice often on sale that are more like guinea pigs than mice because they do not sit comfortable in the hand.

12 buttons would confuse me - I struggle to text as I press the wrong letters all the time and end up editing a lot

@arthurchappell gamer thing, keeps me from dying. I play tank and healer a lot, so whatever I can do to mean less keyboard usage helps me do things faster

I also hate wireless mouse. May be I am used to usb mouse. I once bought a wireless mouse too, yes you are right, it needs batteries. It increases its cost. When you are not working on computer, you have to switch it off to save batteries. USB mouse are better than wireless mouse.
