Whether the weather?

Is it really winter out there? I am beginning to wonder. I understand I live in Texas, and “winter” does not mean the same thing it means to those living more north of me, especially you Canadians, and those from Minnesota, and such.
Still, I don’t remember so many days that feel like summer. We are again under a flood warning again today and there is a GOOD chance of rain over the next few. Rain we do get much of in the winter. You have to remember, we stay warmer, so what would normally be snow for you, is often rain for us. They predicted a colder wetter winter, we may get the wetter, but I am beginning to doubt the colder.
What is your weather like today? Is it normal?

Normal is all relative. It's almost 72, normal for this time of year is 54-55. Friday it will be 50 - that will be a shock going form 72 to 50.

Oh it's been strange here, odd crazy weather, rain, rain and more rain, rain now as I write yet again. It not been cold apart fro the other night.

This is the first December as long as I can recall, where we are still unable to sleep without the fans in full speed. We should have been into winters since mid or late October. But this time around, it is still to hot and the sun is as hot as if it were the start of summers

Yup, at about 2pm today, we're gonna be hit pretty bad here in Central Texas. And we sure don't need anymore considering we've already broken the all-time record for rain @Jessicalynnt .

Our weather is unseasonably warm and hit 70 degrees today. I might have gotten warmer if the sun had stayed out all day. It certainly doesn't feel like winter does it

Weather here is normal so far. I tend to complain a lot when it's chilly but I should be thankful this place hardly go down to freezing point .

It was really nice around 63 in Chicago. Not normal but I'm loving it.

We have been enjoy 'unseasonably mild' weather for several days. Hope it continues @Jessicnlynnt
but winter will no doubt be cold enough soon enough.

Yup, I'll one-up you! I'm a Floridian! Winter is a legend we're told about in school! I've heard rumors!
Is my weather normal? Define normal, please!
Funny story, I pulled up to my house the other day and a car was right in front of me the whole time. I looked at the license plate and it was...(wait for it)... SQT 14P! What are the odds! The one single license plate with those exact alphanumeric symbols and I was RIGHT BEHIND IT! Wow! (think about that one.)
Perhaps the lottery numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6 are believed to be less likely than any other set to come up....guess what. Their not! There's 0% difference in the chances!
So what's this strange individuals point? Well, he's getting to it I assure you! I see nothing odd in the ups and downs of whatever...be it weather, climate, luck, coincidence, or dollar bills flying into my hand simultaneously from the force of the wind! When your in a down it seems like everything is DOWN and when your in an up it seems as though everything also is UP! That's the basis of an area of mathematics called probability.
If you're speaking about climate (whatever) then sure - I think that we humans have some effect on the earth! I'm not afraid to admit that! But I think it's WAY over-exaggerated. Many false claims in research have been proven. So if THAT is indeed what you're suggesting or considering or putting out there for people to think about, why not concentrate on things that we can pretty DIFINITIVELY say are terrible ways to treat out planet....I'll start the bidding with deforestation! It's really quite easy math...CO2 =plants=O2 .....O2= humans (animals etc.) =CO2. So what happens when there are no plants? Hmmm...
If I've misinterpreted what you meant, then so be it, I'm talking to anyone that thought as I did! I have no bad-blood towards ANYONE that want to help save your and my planet...I love Her! I just see the reasoning slightly differently. That's all!

@sugartoes I'm confused...what didn't seem to work, you seeming to blow me off didn't work or my attempt at joking and trying to be pleasant towards you in response to it? Nothing would make me more happy than to make a new friend, and to be a friend to you, but not with anyone that is acting condescending towards my opinions. So maybe you would be so kind as to help me understand what you meant/mean a little clearer, please! I'm sure it's just a misinterpretation of communication between us!
