Christmas Party Fun Ideas - I Need Your Suggestions Please

I was tasked in our organization to host our Christmas party and I was like skeptical of my hosting skills especially that I am doing an informal party for the first time. I acted as emcee many times for formal occasions but it seems very different with informal parties that should include some parlour games and have to make sure all guest will participate and have fun. Do you have some tips for me to become a more effective host? Do you know about interesting parlor games that would give the party full of laughter and memorable moments? I would appreciate your suggestions! Thanks everyone Image credits : Mine

I am very sorry, but I cannot be of help here. I never organized a Christmas party. I believe that much depends what they expect. Do they want to organize a themed party? I have heard from another user that they organized a themed Christmas party, this year is all about the red color.

I do not have much idea. However, you could arrange a game as I have mentioned below: - - You could collect some small gift items ranging from chocolates, muffins, key chains etc. - you could take a dice and put it in a glass tumbler. - you could ask the person to roll the dice in glass and put it on the surface (say on the table) - you could tell that if s/he gets the number 6, s/he will get double gifts. - like-wise you could put a condition that on getting even numbers (2 and 4), there will be a gift and on getting odd numbers (1, 3 and 5) there will be no gift. It is just an idea, you could modify it, as per your own choice and circumstances.

I love the Christmas gift exchange where people pick an opened gift, or "steal" one already opened. It is always full of humor and fun.

I've been to parties where they had white elephant gift exchanges. One had the theme of bringing the ugliest thing you wanted to get rid of from your house (they made a big game out of it - quite hysterical). Another was bring anything that was worth $5 - you bring a gift and you just take another. Christmas bingo - instead of numbers there are Christmas characters on the bingo cards.

I'm not an outgoing person and do everything I can to avoid being in that kind of position so I really can't give you any help. It does sound like it would be a fun party to attend.

Silly gift exchanges can be fun. Where people can steal gifts from each other and all that.

Besides smiling the most important thing is to have a set skeletal form you can stick too-not word for word, but just things to keep the evening moving along a cycle. If you have a sense of humor, let that come out naturally...and, well, did I say it already, smile;)? As long as ppl are having fun they will be cool with it, and...that means they will be cool with you too. Good luck:)
