When my son was sx he had aplaymate named Mikdy whose mom worked nights as a bar keeper. Then she came home and slept leaving a ten year old amnd a six year old boy to fend for themselves.
he six year old Mikesowed up a breakdast each morning. I could not stand seeing him look so hungry so fed him along with the rest of us. M y hubby suggested we find his grandparents and see if they could help his mom Lois by taking her and the two boys into their home and feedng them.
He broke my heart when he said"I love milk my mom never leaves us any just orange soda." His grandparents loved the idea and the Mom Lois and he two boys went to live with his grandparents.

thanks we loved that little boy so it was not hard to help him as he was our sons's best friend.

That is excellent and it is hard on a mother who has to work nights to take care of her children. It is a good thing that they love her and wanted to help her out. The kids had a more stable home life and the grandparents were there to make sure they ate right. Good choice to make this call.

That is nice how that ended. I had neighbours who's children showed up at my door at breakfast time on the weekends.
On the other hand my daughter would complain that I never gave her milk when she visited people. They would feel sorry for her and give her milk. She was allergic to milk!
