Has a MyLot post ever substantially changed how you conduct your day?

I've had the flu over the past few days. I haven't had any stomach problems, but my appetite has been way down. When lunchtime rolled around yesterday, I realized I needed some carbs. I'd been surviving mostly on a bit of cereal in the mornings and soup later in the day.
I had read a post yesterday morning by @Raelove about ployes, and couldn't get them off my mind. Ployes are French-Canadian pancakes made with buckwheat flour. I showered, went to Safeway, got basic pancake batter (no buckwheat flour) and some maple syrup, and cooked myself up a stack of pancakes.
They gave me strength, and I wound up enjoying my trip to the doctor, came home, got some woodworking done, and read about 40 pages of the book I'm reading before crashing.
Has a MyLot post ever directly affected how you conducted your day? I know that some people made some of the little Christmas trees I suggested. And I know that posts have changed my attitude. But this is the first time I can remember changing my behavior because of a MyLot post.
Quite a few years ago, I did some research on a French-Canadian breakfast delicacy known as ployes. Very similar to a pancake, a ploye is made with buckwheat...

You simply can't choose your meal, but i guess this happens to me too. but there's a time in a day were i eat carbs and veggies. I remember not eating much i got a severe headache and realize how weak i become after an exercise, that was terrible. merry xmas and eat well

@hereandthere I had some chicken noodle yesterday. Today I went with pasta and a light meat sauce.

Oh ya, after some 30 odd responses to my post asking advice on "what to do with my ex-friend" who thought it was cool to lie.. I've decided to drop the dude without further aggravation. My time should be spent on people who values it.

@TheHorse Oh ya totally! I mean I just kinda went.. "meh that wasn't worth my time and effort". so I ceased bothering about it. If I didn't post on here, I'd probably be stewing for a bit longer.

@TheHorse - I think being on MyLot helps open our eyes to the way other people lives and, in many cases, makes me feel more grateful.
