The plate of food looked great but then came the eating. Oh my word that was the toughest chicken patty I have ever tried to cut with a table knife.Either the cook set the oven temp too high or she forgot the chicken and it got dried out and tough. Tasted okay but the cutting of it brought some laughter from one other as we hacked and whacked and came up with very dry but tasty pieces of chicken breast with tomato barbecue sauce on them.We had mixed frozen veggies which were okay and mashed potatoes not from a box as they were more tasty really, a bit lumpy but better flavored. As for he frozen mixed vegetables we have them way too often and they are mostly corn wich I am told not to eat because of my diverticulitis. The dessert was fresh fruit, watermelon and cantaloupe pieces and one could not improve on that for taste and f or healthy eating.

Yikes! I am so sorry that you had to eat dried out chicken. That is not fun at all. I prefer to cut the chicken up and cook it, add the barbecue sauce and simmer on low. It doesn't dry out that way and you can tend to the other parts of the meal. Perhaps the cook should do that next time.

@Hatley Good thing there was some barbecue sauce or else you would be stuck with dry meat. Hehe. Hopefully food will be better tomorrow.
