How many discussions do you go through before finding something worth commenting on?

This isn’t a post about bad discussions one shouldn’t waste their time on. A few times a day I’ll go to the Most Recent Discussions page and scroll through it. I’ll read the titles and the little bit of the post, and more often than not see that it’s something that I’m not personally interested in. I know that interaction is the key to getting anywhere on posting sites, but it has to be quality interaction. I’m not going to read a bunch of posts I’m not interested in and try to fake interest. It would be so much easier to just say, “Good post!” to everything. Maybe I just haven’t found my people here on myLot yet.

Friends are a bonus here indeed. Finding people with the same interests or the same sense of humour helps to find places where we can add our two cents.

If I had time I would leave a response on far more posts than I do. the problem my end is that not only do i read ht eoriginal post but also the responses and the comments and I find myself leaving comments even though the post itself did not stir my interest.

Sometimes the comments are better than the original discussion @mysdianait

I've set a goal of leaving at least one comment a day, just to make sure I'm doing something. Most days I do more, but it all depends on how much time I have.

I would say I find at least one or two out of every 10 posts in the "most recent" section that interest me enough for me to have something to say.

That might be about how many I'll read and like, I just can't think of anything to say.

@oneoveralpha If I feel that I have nothing to say, I don't say anything.

@oneoveralpha Same here. Most of the posts are about daily mundane things.

If I open a discussion 99 percent of the time I leave a comment. There are some I just have no desire to open at all.

I usually find something to respond to pretty quickly, usually within a couple of posts.
