~They Have Been Through A Lot~

Our children have been through a lot in their short lives. As most of you know we stayed in a motel for some time, we lived with their grandparents for a little bit, and now we are staying with friends. We are in a different state from most of their family, they have lost most everything they had and loved and we are having to start over in life again. This is all really tough on them. I am grateful they adapt as well as they do but behavior issues have come to light through all of it. Plus mommy is about to have another little one soon. I pray that my children will be the happy kids they once were when we have a place of our own again. I am so ready for them to smile and laugh again the way they once did. Feeling emotional today on my daughter's birthday, wishing we could do more for her-she deserves so much better. But we always make sure they all know how much we truly love them...

Growing up knowing you were loved is the best gift you can give your daughter. Hope she enjoys her birthday!!

A lot of kids are showered with everything that money could buy but don't get love.

@boiboing That's true money is not as important as the love we give to them.

You must know deep in your heart that your l ove is the most important tig to your children rather then t hings some kids have parents who shower them with stuff b ut do not give them what little kids need most their love and admraton so your kids are l cky tha teyhav e two l oving parents who love them un conditionall y.

I sure hope that you can get a more permanent place to stay, and sooner or later, get enough money to buy your own house. If you want it badly enough, you will get it in the future.

It's really hard for the children to go around often. But it will get better once you have that house.

Maybe when you get ahead you can have a party for just because.

I look back on things and wish they had been better, but I talk to my kids who are older than you are and that is not what they remember. I am glad.

I think most of it will take time but it will come to light.

Kids are tough lil characters. They can bounce back from anything. What's most important is your trying to do your best in keeping your family together. Your going to have ups and downs that is apart of being a parent, making sacrifices. Material things come and go but a mother's love, you can't buy that!
