Start New Earning Opportunity Tonight

I am not sure how I feel about this yet. My boyfriend pretty much rushed me into this job and got it for me on Thursday. I told him that is great but I wanted to talk to the lady first. Anyways Monday to Saturday I will be working from 2:30am until whenever I finish delivering I guess. She says it takes her 2 1/2 hours a night which makes me nervous. I am worried how the gasoline is going to go for this. Not to mention this is an IC position so I need to worry about my taxes. She said it equals out to $400 biweekly some weeks a bit more. I am excited because I haven't had an outside job for a year and 4 months so I guess it is a big deal. I will continue my earnings online though. It will just be nice to add to the household again. I am just worried the gas will be to costly but I won't know until I meet her in 7 hours or so. Speaking of which I can't decide if I should try to nap or just stay awake I am not tired. I pickup the papers in town but unsure of the route. She did tell me she was giving the route closest to my home so maybe it won't be so bad. Here is to hoping it works out.

*** For those who are wondering IC is Independant Contractor*** As an online worker aren't you already and IC an deal with taxes as an IC? Good luck and I hope it won't be so bad for you. Is there no way to use a bicycle in lieu of a car?

@WorkAtHomeGal No definitely not good for a snow storm. If you still have this job in the spring it would be worth it I would think. I hope gas won't be too terribly bad for you. Do they not reimburse mileage?

@ScribbledAdNauseum I don't think they do or I assume not with me having to save the gas receipts but I could be wrong. Gas is down right now here so that is one plus at least.

Maybe the opportunity is better even if cost you to pay a little more for the gas. It's nice to try out something new.

This is good for me since it gives me some routine again sort of and I sort of have most of the weekend to myself minus Saturday at 2:30am but its not going to take long to deliver papers especially if I find a good route.

@cherriefic Yeah that is my plan :) The best thing about this since it doesn't hugely eat into my day is that I can also continue trying to earn online as well.

@WorkAtHomeGal A good routine to also help you earn is not bad at all. You can always try it out. Who knows, you may really like it.

It will be since my boyfriend is paying most of the bills right now. Most months I am lucky to cover my phone, half for internet and some of my rent bill.

probably best to give it a trial period and see how the incomings and outgoings stack up.

Yes that is the plan if I notice I am spending far to much in gas then I won't continue doing it.

That is a good start. I think once you build up confidence, you can get better jobs in the future too. $400 biweekly is actually not a lot, but it is a good start.

We did this for years and while it is quite easy it is very hard on your car brakes, all that stop and go. Good luck.

Same here I won't see that until the next day I work I guess since tonight she is driving with me in her car to learn the route.

I've done paper routes with my son. They're not bad, very easy in fact. Good luck with your new job.

Hopefully you can do the route efficiently and not use too much gasoline. Car expenses are an income tax deduction when you are an IC.

Yes the lady told me save my gas and car repair receipts as it can be claimed. She said she was showing me the route with the least amount of driving or something to do with less gas so we will see.
