What the heck is that noise??

I woke up this morning to the most annoying scraping noise. I was wondering what it was, so I got out of bed and went to my livingroom window to look out and what did I see? My son in law was cleaning my front porch and shoveling in front of my mobile home as it had snowed last night and it is still snowing right now. As I sit here I can see all the cars and trucks coming by and they are surely crawling, guess it must be pretty slippery out because normally they fly through here. I also want to apologize to y'all for not being here too much in the last few days, I made it only long enough to read some discussions from my commenters on my posts. I have been trying to keep myself warm under the lap throw I bought myself the other day. I also had to wear gloves to keep my fingers warm, lol. I am so glad it isn't as cold as it has been. Well I best get to work around here and I'll be back later to read some more from everyone. Have a great day and keep warm!!

@gr8nana6 It's snowing now, but it snowed over a layer of ice. There are accidents all over the place.

@AbbyGreenhill It stopped here for a bit, but I still see the cars slipping and sliding. I can imagine, because folks drive like crazy. I hope you will stay in and away from those idiots, lol.

I am glad I don't have to today, though I did have to go to the porch and thtow the kitty litter in the trash. Brrr it is cold

It is not good to be woke up by a scraping noise but at least you have a way to keep warm and now you don't have to go out and shovel snow.

I live in Canada and know all about the snow, although we haven't had a lot of it so far this year. I liked winter when I was young but not anymore as I can't get out walking as I do in the summertime. It's good to have family near you when you need help like snow clearing and it's even better when they do it willingly. Blessings.

I don't care for snow and the cold at all, I hate being confined indoors because of it. Yes it is good and he does it without me asking. He also cuts my grass in the summer, so I am blessed.

I am glad you are doing something to keep warm. I hope you can put your hands around a big mug of hot coffee. You still have a few days until you get more fuel so we will understand if you are not here a lot. Do please check in to let us know you are okay, though.

I am staying as warm as I can, covered with a electric throw and sitting right next to my heater. I will be glad when I get my propane though. The electric bill is going to kill me this month.

At least the noise is welcoming. Over here, if we have noise from the road, it will be drilling sound. You practically cannot sleep or sit or do anything else with this kind of noise.

What a nice guy to clear the snow for you! That reminds me, we have had a light dusting that hasn't been cleared from the back deck that I want to clear. We never use that deck during the winter but with the puppy coming today I will take her in and out from the garden doors.

Yes he is good to me, also my daughter too as she will send food over whenever she can. Yup sounds like you need the porch cleared off for the pooch.

Yes it is and I am keeping warm now with electric heaters and a electric throw while sitting at my desk. Thank you and you stay warm too.

Snow is expected to arrive here this weekend and so far it looks like a lot of shoveling will be involved if the predictions are true. What a nice son in law you have that came and cleaned your snow for you

Yea that was a few days ago when our high was only in the lower teens and our low was in the single digits. It is much better now.

Oh dear. At the moment I have a ice covered branch outside my window scratching the side of my central air unit. It literally sounds like nails on a black boards and it's driving me nuts! Somebody help!

Wow hope you can get that taken care of, I can imagine the scaping noise being irritating.
