A Load of Old Bull

A Spanish bullfighter has found himself in hot water after posting a photograph, on Instagram, of him training in the ring, with a bull, while carrying his baby daughter. Now let's just try to forget just what a senseless, barbaric, idiotic, cruel 'sport' bullfighting is. I do try but, strangely enough, I can't! Anyway, assuming I can, the supremely confident Fransisco Rivera Ordonez, rather laughingly offered as his defence the statement "She is never going to be safer than she is in my arms". Oh really? So speaks the man who is currently taking a break from professional bullfighting as he was gored through the stomach by a bull last August. It's only a shame it wasn't more serious! Maybe the spineless coward who spears magnificent animals with drug-laced lances and then torments them to the point of exhaustion in their drug-addled state before completely pointlessly and unnecessarily killing them, errr... I mean brave matador, should have a career rethink. Failure obviously runs in his family. His father was gored to death by a bull in 1984. As Morrissey recently warbled: "Hooray, hooray, the bullfighter dies, Hooray, hooray, the bullfighter dies, And nobody cries, Nobody cries, Because we all want the bull to survive". Amen to that, Moz!!

@WorDazza It made the news here this morning. I was able to tell my hubby all about what you had written. He thinks I'm a genius. Yes, it is awful.

@WorDazza Yes, it is just pity that he cannot be prosecuted for putting his child in such a dangerous situation.

@Asylum I believe there are some groups in Spain who are pushing for some sort of action to be taken. Let's hope they're successful.

This is similar to the crocodile when he held his baby in his arm there?

I really can't imagine why anyone would do something like that! Do they think it makes them look brave? "Oh look, I'm placing my baby in grave danger! Aren't I big and brave?" Errrrr, No!!!!

@WorDazza Reminds of Michael Jackson dangling his baby over a Paris balcony. Grrrr

@DianneN I'd forgot about that!! I remember seeing it and feeling physically sick. I genuinely believe that some people allow fame to go to their heads so much that they think it makes them invincible!!

It's on a par with Michael Jackson dangling his baby over a balcony.

Obviously they were both following a family tradition. Only being dropped on his head as a baby can explain Michael Jackson!!

That bullfighter is a complete fool. It's funny how you pointed out how failure runs in his family and that his father failed in the matador ring. Some people just don't learn from their mistakes do they

If I were his wife I don't think I'd be letting him take my child into a bull ring!!

@WorDazza Yeah, his wife should have stopped him! Such actions disgust me! He is glorifying himself at the expense of his daughter's safety.

As for me, the way the man carrying a child with the bull is being so cold-blooded. He is taking the life of the baby at risk. Since he knew that it is dangerous.

That's terrible what that bullfighter did. I know he's professional, but the bull isn't. Anything could have happened to the baby.

"I know he's professional, bit the bull isn't". A wonderful statement and further proof, if any more were needed, that bull-fighting is somewhat unfair. And barbaric. And disgusting, And despicable. And unacceptable. I could go on!!!
