My Forever Date

Oh it is Friday tomorrow. I can't wait until it is Saturday, my nephew's 8th birthday. He is my sweetest nephew and my forever date. We do go out together often. Be it a short drive for pizza or a long drive for a joy ride. Sometimes, most of the time actually, I am amazed by how he thinks and reasons out. He is thoughtful and caring. I so love that boy. He is growing too fast. Kids of today are smarter, don't you think?

I was a teacher for 40 years. I can vouch for this time. Children have not become smarter. I had some grammar test (I taught foreign languages) which I used again and again over the years.The pupils always made the same mistakes!

@nottoooldtowrite sorry my comment was not finish. I'm at work while commenting and my colleagues stay at my station for a talk. I'm also about to log out. I can't wait to see my baby cause I work straight with 4 hours difference. I stayed at the office and sleep for 1.5 hours. I'm so into my baby boy, he is our bundle of joy. He smiles to almost everyone who talks to him, even if he doesn't know the person. He's turning 6 mos. on Feb. 4.

Thank you. But he is growing too fast. Better enjoy the moments that I can still hug him because when he is a big guy already, like his brothers and cousins, I might not get those hugs anymore.

Yes, I could not agree more.Kids today are more out-spoken and smarter. I have three nieces.My 7 year old niece is so into lipstick hihihi.She likes to put on make-up.Perhaps, she got that from me because her mom is not "kikay"

Yes kids our definitely smart now a days. My nephew is 7 also they grow up way too fast. I get to see both my nieces and nephew saturday so I'm looking forward to that also

No, I think that kids were smart even at my old days. Now they have more opportunities to learn, using the computer and other gadgets.

Your nephew will fondly remember his time spent with you when he is grown. As far as kids being smarter today, I don't necessarily agree. An IQ can't be changed. Kids today just have more opportunities. Some kids are smart. Others, not so much.

Oh yes, he tells me that if I end up not marrying he will take care of me when I grow old. Such a sweetheart. I will tell you about it when I am that old already and he is caring for me. Lol. Hope myLot is still here by then.
