Brand new to My Lot / myLot

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site. I've been writing all around the web for over 10 years, first focusing on product reviews at Epinions and Viewpoints, and then just general posting at Bubblews and Persona Paper. I can't believe I didn't know that this site existed! Anyway, I'm very glad to find it as I do like to write and share my thoughts and opinions on things whether it be current events, entertainment gossip, or, yes, even a product review. Every site I've been a member of has closed down one by one but this one seems pretty busy and vibrant. (at least I hope it is!) The picture in my avatar is my pet parrot. Yes, she is real and really that beautiful. She is a very funny girl who I feel very fortunate to share my life with. I also have 5 cats with 5 very different personalities. I don't just spend my life focusing on my animals, though. I also love to cook, read, and spend time with my family and friends. I look forward to reading and writing here at myLot. Thanks for having me!

Welcome to the site. I'm sure you'll like it here. Does your parrot talk? And what is her name? We only have a pet sheep. He is called Hercules but before you laugh, we didn't name him that. He was a rescue sheep and came already named.

A rescue sheep! That isn't something you hear about often. My parrot's name is Scarlett and she also came with her name as she is also a rescue.

Welcome to myLot! I wrote in Bubblews as well, and glad that myLot is still around and doing good. Your parrot is cute! I have never take care of a bird before, I think it's really fun to spend time with them, especially parrots. Hope you'll enjoy spending your time here.

Parrots are so cool. Many are now born into the pet world but I understand in the wild they adopt families? In any case I think they are pretty smart to be able to mimic the way they do. Have fun here @NJChicaa don't forget to reply back!

I have been here for ten years; when I was active there were 'tasks' such as writing etc that paid $2.00 to $5.00 a piece. That was sweet. I got back into this site because, honestly, I needed some place to post. The cash (more than PP) is a nice perk but generally the people you come across here are genuine.
