A moment's meditation.

I have been reading some beautiful words today that I would like to share. They will be familiar to a number of you and found in Psalm 121 which starts ‘I will lift up my eyes to the hills’. The looking up is for help and the person who is expected to help is the LORD, the great I AM of the Bible. This looking up is followed by the assurance that His response is to ‘watch over’ which is more than a looking down at us as we look up to Him - it means ‘taking care of’ us. The taking care of involves making sure we do not slip and fall, it is protection over our lives. We are being watched over both day and night as we come and go. It is a 'watching over' that we can rely on both now and always. When I feel worried about the future these are the words I take to heart, they give me security in troubled times. image from Pixabay

nice discussion friend. I like it. Yes we should always pray to God it helps us even if we do not see it. We need to know that it is up to us long, however, we believe sincerely that.

I did not have a safe refuge or a strong tower picture, unfortunately but I did have one of the hills.

I do not know how I would manage without Him, I would certainly worry a lot more about the future if I did not have faith in the Lord.

The name Jehovah is itself a translation of the Hebrew word which means ' I am who I am' it is simply translated as the LORD in the English Bible

We all need to be comforted and feel loved even if the One who loves us cannot be seen and has to be reached through faith.

Faith is a great thing to pull us through tough times. Each person has his own favorite God and practices his own beliefs about God. Good to hear your inspiration from the Bible.

Christians do not have a favourite god or even a choice. To us there is only One.

@41CombedaleRoad Unlike ours where we have a dozen popular deities and a thousand customs.
