Some of you have responded to this post After reading all the responses I did a post there as there is no provision for messaging. This is what I said "What would be your reaction be about someone who has mercilessly blocked others in a site. Would you befriend that user at new sites? " I received a response from that user saying that they would certainly not befriend that person at a new site. I am still in a quandary
I have just joined a new site and there I find this user who has blocked me here. They are merrily responding to my posts and have asked for friendship. I have...

Okay, so either they are unaware of who you are, or they blocked you accidentally. If it were me I'd enjoy there interaction there and not worry about what happened here. But, that's just me. By the way, are you going to tell us this new site you're working on?

After that response I too feel I should move on without revealing myself.

I would follow this up by pointing out that they have blocked you and ask the question directly.

I think if that were me, I would just interact on the other site, and just have fun. If you come across that erson, just be cordial as he or she might not know who you really are anyway, since you said you have a different username there. You shouldn't let one person spoil your time there or even here. That person has a problem, not yout.

@allknowing That really is a good thing. I think thee, you won't have any issues either. It is really worth trying anyway. I just don't understand why people have to blokc others for no rrrreason anyway. As long as you sort of incognito there, she will never know it is you, and that is a good thing too.

Oh, dear... Now I'm in a quandary because I have no idea what other site you happen to be referring to, and I'm a bit too fond of watching situations like this unfold...

Let me settle down and I will make an announcement. I am not sure if they are the 'above board' kind - none to compare myLot though So in the meana time keep on quandering

If you enjoy the interaction on the new site, forget about everything and enjoy the interaction.

Some people are from a different decade and do not think the way others do. They see posts from people of another decade. It's like the kids used to say:"Oooh, cooties!!" If it was something they didn't like. I think that is what we are seeing here. And, why is it such a big deal? I would much rather see someone block me than put up with their idiotic and opinionated responses on my posts.

I would take the risk to be blocked and tell who I am. A few members here are blocking a large part of other members, there is no reason that they will no do the same in another site if a blocking option is available.

There is no blocking option there.

I would not care and just enjoy the site anyway and not care if someone blocked you. What is the name of that site.

Seems sensible. Let me see. They are very active there and come to every single post of mine with their comments

My advice is exactly the same as I gave you on the other post. Ask her outright why she blocked you.

I have a different ID there and I would want them to believe what they believe and that it is not me (lol)

Just do what I do...forget about them and move on. Plenty of other people to interact with on here and in other places. The only time being blocked would really bother me is if someone I'd known here for years was to block me for no apparent reason. If they had a reason i'd be upset i'd caused them to do that but i'd understand, if there was no reason that i could see i'd be very bothered.

My ignoring all their responses, ignoring their friends' request all this is yet something that gnaws me somewhat.

@allknowing thing is when you're blocked here you've no choice in many ways as you can't directly interact with the person who has blocked you. You can't even send them a message asking why you've been blocked. I can certainly see it'd be annoying especially when you don't feel you've done anything wrong. I don't really understand about ignoring friend requests (maybe that's related to another site) as if someone has blocked us it means they don't want to be friends.
