Do ALL women hate the word MOIST?

I have had a handful of relationships over the years and it seems that every woman that I have been with has a visceral aversion to the the word "moist". My compliments on a particularly delicious and "moist" cupcake or piece of cake have drawn scorn with nearly every woman within earshot... what is the history or the medical marvel behind the feminine nausea that comes with this innocent word?

I'm German. The word doesn't bother me at all, heehee. The German translation is 'feucht'. Try to pronounce it!

I am Italian and, just like @MALUSE, the word moist does not bother me at all. I do not give you the Italian translation because from your surname I am sure you know and you can pronounce it.

Hmm... the protagonist in Terry Pratchett's Going Postal goes by the name of "Moist von Lipwig"... the romance interest's name is "Adora Belle Dearheart", interestingly.

The word has never bothered me. I can't think of any woman who I know who might be bothered by the word either. Maybe you just know the wrong women?

I don't get the hatred of the word and I am a woman. To me it is just a word.

It doesn't bother me at all when men say that word to me. That word is used quite often but some may take it to heart thinking of other things for the word moist but one may not be sure. Don't over stress about it.

I am happy when my cakes are moist. I have never met anyone who minded that word.
