Maybe my topic wasn't interesting...?

Why do people want to stir up things by making the statement "it is a quiet day on Mylot?" I think it is only quiet if you make it so.

Just try and stay active and dont let the lack of activity discourage you

I just write about what I know and I make sure that I interact a lot with other members, the interaction is the real secret I think.

Sometimes there is a lot of people on here and sometimes there is not.

Something you may not realize is that any topic can be a dud just as easy as it can be a hit that carries a conversation on and on... It just depends on who you attract and whether you are inclined to allow them to go off-topic or force them to stay on-topic on your threads, moonchild. You noticed that Pete ( @pgiblett ) put out a general call to people he knew would talk once he got us here, right? It isn't difficult to find chatterboxes like me, vandana, mysdianait, sugartoes, purplealabaster, Daljinder, mommaj, fishtiger58, TheHorse,... etc. All you have to do is look around a little bit and look at threads that say; see more comments. That is a "fold" in the fabric of myLot. Many of those "folds" hold some interesting/funny/sad discussions! Unfortunately, not everyone appreciates the chatterboxes! I have been ordered to leave someone's thread because I was not addressing every comment to the thread's author! (I haven't been on that author's threads since, even though I was tagged by that person in two other threads..... ) You also may not know that the ones who author very few threads ourselves may do that partly because we have more fun terrorizing people on their own threads than it is to be stuck on a thread we wrote.... (Personally, I am not very good at starting good discussions, no matter what I can do with/on someone else's threads! I can't do that with my own, for whatever reason)

Today has been a slow day for me too. Yesterday it was pretty active, I guess people got tired.

I got a mention here but in another box and I came to see what is going on. Now that I am here I am still not really sure wither Looks like a lot of fun though so I will be back once I catch up elsewhere and somewhere else and then over there too

I am terrible at it --but I do enjoy reading and commenting and that is what I seem to do more of

At this time here in myLot , there are less activities . I think it peaks up from 5:00 p.m. onwards at Philippine time .

most of us lose some topics without discussion - yours might yet attract attention. Don't worry about it.

@moonchild117,I would like to suggest you,read the discussions that have attracted a good number of likes and comments.You'll have an idea.Some of my best discussions are generated from my own experiences.All these discussions have received a satisfactory number of likes and comments.

It is very slow these days, not too much action here.

If you keep interacting people will usually come and look at your posts, but as you say sometimes there are not a lot of people about.

i think it is more on how many people are here and how active you are, mine is not consistent too

I am not good at coming up with interesting topics. I always just write what's in my mind, same goes to the topic. I have been very busy with my freelance projects lately, hence I didn't spend much time in mylot. Perhaps everyone was just busy in those few hours? I think you get many responses for this.

I wish I knew. Honestly I don't think it's the topic header as much as the opportunity to respond to what's in the body of the discussion, that's where there could be the possibility of starting discussions with respondants.
